Working on Revamping the Wiki, with added Fate: The Traitor Soul info, that is noted that its from Fate TTS.
Hello everyone!
I am starting to work on cleaning up the Wiki, largely because I keep being unable to find data on items for Fate: The Traitor Soul, and upon debating it for less than an hour, I decided to add Fate: TTS stuff to this Wiki, and labeling it properly so that people won't think the item is from Fate.
I am still re-learning how to handle and edit on the Wikia/Fandom, but I plan on trying to clean things up as much as possible and add things as I come across them.
At some point I plan on removing outdated pages in favor of just having the core page(s) for the topic. But first I'll need to make, or clean up, those core pages, and then the first "deactivation" step would be having it redirect to the core page, before removing it outr…
DarthShadeslayer: FATE Wiki Cleanup: Article Organization
Hello there! I have formed some guidelines for the FATE wiki's article reformatting.
There are a lot of things that need fixing and categorization(as of 3/17/19), so just bear with me as we clean up this wiki.
-Sword Class Articles: It doesn't matter if they are regular or Artifact swords, if they aren't in the Sword Class category(most of them will be), then add the category "Sword Class" on the bottom. I have created badges for editing Sword Class articles, so edit away! (Adding that category name to a page without that category counts as editing an article with that category.)
-Axe Class Articles: Any remaining Axe pages, normal or Artifact axes, should be categorized under the Axe Class category. Add this category on any axe articles tha…
Finding Artifacts and Magical Items(W/Cheat Prompt)
If you want to find Artifacts or powerful magic items, the first thing you need to do is summon two weapons that can hold three or four sockets, like the Battle Lance or the Military Pike(or just make it the Artifact versions, Legendary if you can wield them) and have Rikko the Enchanter socket them.
Next summon Superior Zircon Gems. Install the gems in the weapons.(for best effect, duel wield them) Now, find some good armor, socket every piece, install more Zircon gems in it, for maximum chance of finding magic items.
Oh, and another thing. Make sure that you have a fishing pole. I know, I know, but just making sure that you have one before you set off into the depths of the Dungeon.
Start on Level 1, smashing all of the crates and urns yo…
Last of the FATE players?
Does anyone play FATE? We need to get this wiki back on track. There is massive cleanup that needs to be done, and add-ons and grammar mistakes, stuff like that.
Comment below if you are still part of this dying group!
Some tips on playing Fate
Some tips on playing Fate:
So I thought I'd type out my first blog post, because I've got some battle tips for Fate. I also discovered quite a few simple mistakes that I made which really hurt me, and I wanted to share them with you guys so everybody can succeed at Fate.
I recently got this game and started playing it, and it's so much fun! At first it seemed easy, fighting my way through the dungeon. But let me tell you something: the game gets hard, and I mean HARD. If you've just started out, you might be intimidated by five Rats, two Gels, and a Bat coming at you all at once, like I was. Yet compared to the higher levels, that is incredibly easy!!
There is a cheat code that you can use which allows you to descend to any level that you li…
Does anybody play Fate in 2018
It's 2018 and I see this wiki has been dead for a few years. I'm just gonna add pages until I get bored and find something else to do. I hope the pages will come in handy if anybody decides to play this game ever again.
What do you like about Fate.
I want to know what everybody likes a bout Fate.
I like the generation system, it is awesome. The Enchanting is cool and can be curse or get rid of all enchants instead of enchanting it with something good. The gambling is nice because the more you pay the better the item is(most the time). The random/infinite dudgeons are awesome.
So what do you like about Fate.
Update! Monster Types
I now understand the groups that I have seen used to organize the monsters into families. The "monster definition file" in the game data (...\FATE\MONSTERS\monsters.dat) lists a "FAMILY" for each monster. These do not necessarily match the folders that contain the model data. For example, the monsters that use \BAT or \RAT models are both given a FAMILY value of "Rodent".
Which should we use for organizing the wiki? On the one hand, families are listed directly in monsters.dat and there are fewer families than model directories. On the other hand, model directories tell you what the monster will look like and won't make weird combinations like putting Wereboar in the Minotaur family.
I suggest a hybrid method that will organize the monsters …
Monsters and Monster Types
I've noticed that on the wiki and several online FAQs I checked, there are some differences in monster names and especially in how monsters are categorized. Part of the issue is the existence of multiple versions of Fate. I currently have the retail version that came bundled with Undiscovered Realms. I first played on a demo version that allow unlimited playtime but capped the Dungeon at 3 levels. I'm aware of at least two other versions: a new demo with different limitations, and a full version that is digital download.
In order to have the information on this wiki be as complete and well-organized as possible, we should take note of these differences. One proposal I have is the categorize the monsters based on the folders in the game file…
Game Problem
I recently bought first Fate and it came with a free copy of Undiscovered Realms, on the same disc. The problem is, when I insert the disc, there is not an option, it just goes directly to Fate. Any thoughts anybody?
